Ingredients
2/3cupplain kefir
1/2mediumfrozen bananaslightly underripe for more prebiotics
3/4cupfrozen blueberries
1tablespoonflaxseed mealground flaxseeds
1tablespoonalmond butter
Instructions
Place the kefir, banana, frozen blueberries, flaxseed meal, and almond butter into a blender and blend for about 20 seconds or until smooth.
The smoothie will thicken as the flaxseed meal absorbs some of the liquid.
Notes
This recipe makes 12 ounces. If your banana and blueberries are frozen solid, add them to the blender, but let the ingredients thaw for about five minutes to make the smoothie easier to blend.
