Refreshing Honeydew Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups ripe honeydew melon chunks refrigerated or frozen
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup baby spinach leaves
  • 1 tablespoon flaxseed meal
  • 1 teaspoon honey or to taste
  • 1 scoop plain or vanilla protein powder optional

Instructions

  • Cut the chilled melon into 1 1/2 inch chunks.
  • Combine the melon, Greek yogurt, spinach, flaxseed meal, vanilla, and honey in a blender. Blend for about 20 seconds or until smooth.
  • If using protein powder, add it after the ingredients are blended. Then, blend again to combine the protein powder.

Notes

The nutrition facts does not include the protein powder. If adding it, you'll increase the protein by about 20 grams.
Reserve leftover melon cubes and freeze them for another smoothie.
